City Holds Breath As Trea Turner Awaits MRI

Updated: Sep 20

The Phillies lost 5-4 to the Marlins, but nobody cares, because Trea Turner strained his right hamstring while trying to leg out a ground ball. It was a cruel twist in a game that had already seen Turner crank his 15th home run of the season, a solo shot that briefly gave us something to cheer about. Moments later, he was walking off the field, the entire city suddenly whispering rosaries to the baseball gods.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the shadows, that lousy Ball Snatcher Karen is no doubt quietly celebrating as she caresses her homerun ball. Her negative energy somehow found its way into Turner’s backside in a limelight quid pro quo only she could enjoy. With that said...Prepare the Floats™ ! It's not all bad news Phillies fans because the Metropolitans lost again, so the Phillies lead in the East remains at 7 heading into the series vs NY in South Philly.
