Penn State is going to finish the regular season 11-1, advance to the Big Ten Championship Game and host a College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium.

Prediction: WIN
The Matt Campbell era opens at Beaver Stadium. Penn State should start the season with a comfortable win.

Prediction: WIN
A "road" game in Philadelphia, but Penn State fans will takeover the Linc. Another easy win.

One final tune-up before Big Ten play.
Penn State handles business easily again.

Sept. 26 — Wisconsin
Prediction: WIN
The first legitimate conference test, and Campbell passes.
Wisconsin keeps it tight, but Beaver Stadium makes the difference.

Oct. 2 — at Northwestern
Prediction: WIN
The rare Friday night road game. Feels like a trap game before the huge White Out at Beaver Stadium, but PSU gets a scrappy win vs a decent Northwestern team.

Prediction: WIN
The White Out in Prime Time. Hard to find a better scene in all of college football.
This is Matt Campbell’s first signature Penn State victory. I have USC coming in undefeated and ranked in the top 6 following wins over Oregon and Washington. The past "big game" failures of James Franklin are done.

Coming off an enormous win over USC, Penn State goes into the Big House, beats an undefeated Michigan team and ruins the Wolverines’ Homecoming.
It won’t be easy, but I believe Penn State leaves Ann Arbor undefeated. And for all the Michigan fans out there, don’t worry- you’ll beat Indiana the following week.

Penn State comes home, resets and gets back in the win column with a massive win over the Gophers.

Late November at Beaver Stadium and flurries in the air. Penn State handles Rutgers and reaches double-digit wins for the first time under coach Campbell.

Prediction: WIN
The regular season closes in College Park, where Penn State takes care of business and punches its ticket to the Big Ten Championship Game against Indiana.

Why am I willing to be this aggressive?
I really believe Campbell and Becht are a winning ticket and Becht is the kinda gutsy QB who rises in the spotlight.
Penn State avoids Ohio State, Oregon, and defending national champion Indiana.
USC comes to Beaver Stadium.
The two biggest road tests are Michigan and Washington.
And while there may be plenty of questions surrounding a new coach, new quarterback and a changing roster, the schedule gives Penn State a real opportunity to build momentum before the biggest games arrive.
The first five games are manageable. Then comes the stretch that will define the season-
USC at home immediately followed by Penn State at Michigan.
I have Penn State winning both.
The Nittany Lions would hit the bye week at 7-0, beat Purdue, and head to Washington at 8-0 with the College Football Playoff firmly in sight.
That is where I think the undefeated run finally ends, but the season won't fall apart because James Franklin is no longer the head coach.
Penn State rebounds and wins its final three games.
That gives Matt Campbell an incredible 11-1 regular season in Year 1, immediately validates the new era in Happy Valley and turns Penn State into an even bigger recruiting and transfer portal magnet under Campbell.
